ABOUT
Toosie Bawden
BSc Hons (UCT,SA)
MCSP, MPOGP, MHCPC
I am a Chartered Musculoskeletal and Specialist Womens Health Physiotherapist.

I come from a strong sporting background, having been a competitive swimmer, completed a variety of marathons and ultra-marathons on both road and trail; flirted with triathlons and enjoying long distance cycling and walking.

My passion is to return my patients to their activities and provide them with the knowledge and understanding to maintain their best level of conditioning.
In particular, I like to incorporate my MSK and Pilates training with my womens health knowledge, in order to rehabilitate women of all ages back into activity.

BSc. Physio (Hons) University of Cape Town, South Africa
I did my undergraduate degree at UCT, graduating in 2001
I followed that on with three years working in East London, South Africa, within an excellent physiotherapy practice run by Christine de Greef (Belgian trained). We treated a broad range of physiotherapy conditions in the clinic and in the local hospitals, along with uniquely specialising in hydrotherapy.
I moved to London to continue progressing my love for sports injuries and settled within PhysioSW19 in Wimbledon. Whilst I continued to treat a broad range of conditions, my focus was in gaining insight into treating sports injuries, mainly runners, cyclists and triathletes.
POGP Post Graduate Womens Health Qualification
I sub-specialised in 2012, working with the POGP (Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaelogical Physiotherapists), to gain the top UK level specialism in Womens Health. I have added a variety of courses to this specialism, including specific DRA testing and Ring Pessary Insertion.

I am currently further enhancing my skills with the Australian Womens Health Diploma.

Alongside my work, I regularly link with other medical and alternative health practitioners to lecture on both Womens Health and Physio topics.
